Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information BoltLab collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. BoltLab is owned and operated by Albor Digital LLC. Last updated: August 11, 2026.
Who Operates BoltLab
BoltLab is owned and operated by Albor Digital LLC, an independent digital product studio based in Canada & USA. See the About page for more on BoltLab and its product families, and Engineering Data Methodology for how BoltLab's engineering reference data is sourced and classified.
Information BoltLab Collects
BoltLab does not require account creation and does not collect names, passwords, or payment information. When you contact us directly, for example by email, we receive the information you choose to include in that message.
Depending on which technologies are active during a given visit (see Cookies and Similar Technologies and Analytics below), BoltLab or its service providers may also receive standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited.
Calculator and Tool Inputs
BoltLab's calculators, converters, and identification tools run in your browser. Values you enter into a calculator, such as a thread size, diameter, or material selection, are processed locally on your device using client-side JavaScript and are not transmitted to or stored on a BoltLab server. This describes BoltLab's current calculator architecture; if this changes in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
BoltLab does not currently set cookies of its own. BoltLab currently uses browser local storage for one limited purpose: remembering whether you dismissed or collapsed an on-page advertisement placeholder on mobile devices, so it does not reappear during later visits on the same browser. This local storage is not used to track your identity or activity across other websites.
See the Cookie Notice for full details, including the technologies that may be introduced if and when advertising is activated on BoltLab.
Analytics
BoltLab does not currently have a website analytics service installed. If BoltLab adds an analytics provider in the future, this Privacy Policy and the Cookie Notice will be updated to name the provider and describe the data involved.
Advertising and Google Services
BoltLab does not currently display advertising served by Google or any other advertising network. BoltLab's page layout reserves space for advertising in anticipation of future activation, but no ad-serving script is currently active and no advertising identifiers are currently set by BoltLab.
When BoltLab displays advertising served by Google or other advertising partners, those providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to deliver, measure, limit frequency, or personalize advertising, subject to applicable settings and consent requirements.
For a general explanation of how Google uses information from sites and apps that use Google's services, see How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.
Personalized and Non-Personalized Advertising
Where Google advertising is enabled, ads may be personalized or non-personalized, depending on your region, applicable law, and the choices available to you at the time.
Personalized advertising may use information associated with your activity, such as your interests or past interaction with websites and apps, to tailor which ads are shown to you.
Non-personalized advertising does not use your past behavior to select ads, but Google has stated that cookies or mobile advertising identifiers may still be used for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, fraud prevention, and security, even in a non-personalized mode.
BoltLab does not guarantee that any particular ad mode will always be used. The applicable mode depends on your location, applicable law, and your consent choices where required.
Consent and Privacy Choices
Where legally required, including for visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, BoltLab will obtain consent before setting applicable cookies, local storage, or engaging in personalized advertising processing that requires consent under applicable law.
BoltLab does not currently have a consent management platform (CMP) installed, because Google-served advertising has not yet been activated on BoltLab. When Google advertising is enabled for the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, BoltLab will use the applicable Google-supported consent mechanism required for that advertising configuration before such advertising or related cookies are set for users in those regions.
Regardless of region, you can control non-essential local storage and cookies through your browser settings at any time, as described in the Cookie Notice.
Third-Party Services
BoltLab currently loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) to display page typography. Loading these fonts causes your browser to request font files directly from Google's servers, which may involve transmission of your IP address to Google as a standard part of that request.
BoltLab's pages may also link to external websites and resources, including engineering standards organizations referenced for context (see the Standards Library). BoltLab is not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites and encourages you to review their privacy policies before providing them with any information.
If BoltLab activates advertising, analytics, or other third-party services in the future, this section will be updated to name the relevant providers.
Data Retention
Because BoltLab does not currently operate user accounts, there is no account-based data retention period. Messages sent to contact@albor.digital are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and document the inquiry. If cookies, local storage, or advertising identifiers are introduced, applicable retention periods will be described in the Cookie Notice.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to: access personal data Albor Digital LLC holds about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent; and, where applicable, receive your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact contact@albor.digital. We will respond within 30 days.
International Data Processing
BoltLab is operated by Albor Digital LLC from Canada & USA. If BoltLab uses third-party service providers, such as hosting, and in the future, advertising or analytics providers, located in other countries, information may be processed outside of your own country, including in the United States and Canada. Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards are used for such transfers.
Children's Privacy
BoltLab is not directed to children under the age of 13, and BoltLab does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information to BoltLab may contact contact@albor.digital.
Data Security
Albor Digital LLC uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information related to BoltLab. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as BoltLab's features, advertising configuration, or applicable law change. Material changes, including activation of advertising or analytics, will be reflected on this page with a revised date. Continued use of BoltLab after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
